Magazine Global Awards ceremony held on April 27 in London.
This award confirms the worldwide popularity of Kaspersky Labs
solutions and serves as an excellent kickoff for the newly
released Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus is an acknowledged industry leader, with
newly released version 5.0 primed to confirm user and industry
expectations.
SC Magazine called the fifth Global Awards competition "the
most comprehensive and stringent Awards program ever." This
leading worldwide awards program recognises technical
excellence and customer satisfaction across 32 categories.
Well over 900 products and services were nominated this year
by approximately 300 companies: the in-depth evaluation
entailing nomination, voting, testing, reviewing and judging
took 8 months to complete. The customer-focused process

record crowd of 800 plus IT professionals and journalists
attended the SC Gala Awards Dinner in Grosvenor House, Park
Lane, London.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus was nominated in the Reader Trust Awards
category for Best Anti-Virus Solution. Products and services
in this category underwent a multi-level assessment followed
by an open vote allowing readers to choose their favorite
products, which makes awards in this category the most sought
after.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus competed against 13 other antivirus
solutions for Best Anti-Virus, with finalists including well
known products such as Symantec AntiVirus Enterprise, Trend
Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite and Computer
Associates eTrust AntiVirus. Readers and users cast their
votes for Kaspersky - making it the winner of this year's SC
Magazine Global Award.
