(Gulf News-27/04/03)

ASPGulf is hosting a CRM application from Canon, which comes ERP (for enterprise resource planning) integrated and allows access to Canon M.E.’s offices, employees and business partners. The contract includes dedicated servers running on Microsoft platform. The application and database servers are located and managed at ASPGulf’s data centre in Dubai. The contract was signed and managed through ASPGulf’s authorized channel partner, CAD GULF. It is also the first since ASPGulf and CAD Gulf signed a hosting partnership to promote the former’s managed hosting services. “This cost-effective hosting service has made it possible for our Middle East distributor network to come under one centralized system,” said Adrian Low, manager – service support department, Canon M.E. Until now, Canon M.E. had managed its resources by focusing on serving its distributors, channel partners and customers within the existing Canon head office applications. These were installed within its own LAN (local area network) at its office in Dubai Internet City. Canon is also planning to host its Middle East Web portal with ASPGulf within the next few weeks. Launched in March, 2000, as the Middle East’s first application service provider, ASPGulf is part of the Al Bawardi Enterprises.
