A reliable hosting environment with "peace of mind" and control
Colocation to our Data Centre's is a smart alternative to building and managing your own data centre facility. Retain as much control as your business requires while reaping the benefits of our world-class colocation facility's, network, and support services, instead of investing in additional overh./eads associated with maintaining your own facility and support.

What is Co-Location?

Co-location is the placement of a computer or network equipment in an external data centre. Management of the computer or network equipment remains the responsibility of the owner of the computer or the equipment. An Internet Service Provider (ISP) generally provides access to the computer or the equipment. Reliability and performance of the network is the ISP's responsibility.

Why Co-locate?

The main reason for co-location is to achieve 'peace of mind'. Below you will find more information about ASPGulf Data Centers and Locations to help illustrate how Colocation can create an optimal environment for the operation of your solution.

Security

Computers and network equipment are located in racks housed in data centres which are guarded buildings manned 24 hours a day. The racks themselves are locked and only 'allowed' personnel are given access. When you choose Colocation as the IT solution for your business, you retain the management responsibility you want for the ongoing operations of your Web site or network. Complete control over your hardware and applications - either remotely or on-site. You know what is taking place on your site every minute of every day. And you can make changes to your applications as necessary.

Cost Savings

The cost of installing a single high bandwidth line is far higher than the costs of locating a server in a Data Centre.

Reliability

The network to a Data Centre contains 'redundant routes'; this means that a computer or piece of network equipment has more than one link to the Internet. Should a single link be broken access to the computer or network equipment remains intact. Due to the high cost of installing a high bandwidth line typically equipment or a computer housed at the premises of an organisation has only a single link and should this link fail for whatever reason connection to the Internet is lost.

All racks have power redundancy, should there be fluctuations in power supply the computer or equipment remains functioning. Our responsibility is to manage the data center and network infrastructure. We ensure server and network integrity by providing an uninterruptible power supply, along with reliable and redundant network connections.
